We believe in using renewable and recyclable raw materials that are sourced from sustainably managed forests. For this reason, KAPAG is FSC certified and purchases paperboard containing wood fibres that are sourced from FSC-certified forests.
This allows us to track our products back through the production process to the original raw materials. At the same time, purchasing FSC-certified goods helps our customers respond to consumers’ desire for sustainability as well as comply with increasingly rigorous regulatory requirements.
It is also very important to us that we source raw materials, machinery and other equipment as locally as possible in order to reduce transportation distances and thus reduce our ecological footprint.
To achieve this, we have a wide network of suppliers and business partners who provide us with high quality raw materials that are tailored to our customers’ needs. We also use this network to develop new products aimed at replacing fossil-based materials with renewable ones so that we can continue in our quest to achieving a circular bioeconomy.
